Our Engineered Wood Product department has distinguished itself by developing a layout program that ensures you will save time and money, and improve your building efficiency.
Today's home designs accommodate beauty and elegance with specialty windows, sliding doors and vaulted ceilings. Tall walls, or walls taller than 10 ft., are rapidly becoming the answer to these design requirements.
Our products are “dimensional lumber compatible“--they can be combined with standard 2x6 and 2x8 lumber, so you can add strength and height where you need it (as much as 4'-6“ higher than other engineered wood products). Wausau Supply provides the “value“ products you need: design, glulam columns, headers, LVL studs, and anchors. The rest of the material can be purchased from your local lumber yard (top plates, bottom plates, sills, jack studs, cripples, and dimensional lumber).
Wausau Supply also provides engineering support for our engineered wood products that proves its functionality to meet codes, building requirements and window manufacturer warranties.
Our tall walls are erected from glulam columns manufactured exclusively for Wausau Supply. This material is structurally capable of sustaining both wind pressures and vertical loads to meet and exceed state codes. Our tall walls are custom designed to accommodate window manufacturer's specifications and to control the flexibility for your choice of siding materials.
